Say woof to the camera!

Not exactly sure where this was taken in West Cork, just as we got out of the car this dog approached us and obviously wanted to be in the picture.

120: Grainy Evening Pope’s Quay

One of my favourites from the first roll of 120 film I had, the combination of film grain, the silhuetted trees and those bright blotches in the sky makes it look somewhat interesting.

Torc Waterfall, Kilkenny

Noel in the foreground braves Torc Waterfall but will he succeed in staying dry? Doubt it.

The green green grass of Beara Peninsula, West Cork

This was taken near Dursey Island which features Ireland’s only rail car that was only operating at certain times. Unfortunately we had just missed it.

Statue in Fitzgeralds Park

Situated near the pond, constantly gazing at the fountain. Not exactly sure what it is supposed to signify.

Painted window pane at the Triskel Arts Centre ( aka Christ Church )

Unfortunately not all of Christ Church’s window panes were able to be fully restored back to its original form but still what remains is worth looking at. That and the fact that the Triskel Arts Centre also screen some pretty decent films from time to time … which helps to fill the void left behind by the Kino.

Zeiss Ikon Nettar II 517/16

I bought this camera at the Antique Market on Portobello Rd, London. Initially I came to the market looking for a decent second hand bowler hat but I didn’t come back empty handed. This gateway drug to film photography set me back about £8. Cheaper than some of the film stock you can get for it. Despite having fungus growing inside the lens setup, I still managed to take some pretty good snaps around London and Cork.

HDR: Lee Fields

This was taken back in July just outside Cork City, since we’re approaching winter, we won’t be seeing skies like these for some time.
