Near the Lee Waterworks

This is near the point where the Lee river diverges and you’re left with the island of Cork City.

Infrared: A quick test in Lee Fields

I’ve decided to experiment with Infrared Photography after purchasing a Hoya R72 filter recently. Getting the camera prepped to take infrared photos was by no means a simple feat, since most digital cameras include an inbuilt filter to block infrared light, removing it was a recommended option ( whereas taking a 15 sec exposure wasn’t really ). I’ve had a pretty difficult time doing this with the Finepix S9500 I had lying around, which involved getting shocked at least twice, taking 80% of the camera apart and be left with at least 3 spare screws remaining after re-assembly. To my astonishment, this old digital camera still worked.

Here is a quick sample I took on Sunday 2nd of October ( pity that the weather was extremely lousy lately but I suppose I could have done with the exercise )
