Mushrooms in February
Earlier today, I walked out to the Lee Fields I stumbled across a rotting tree stump that had these capped mushrooms growing on it. I thought these usually grow in the Autumn?
Bee and the Indian Balsam
…. or Himalayan Balsam as it’s called. It’s an invasive species that’s been spreading around England and Ireland according to the Wikipedia article but at least the bees don’t seem to mind.
