We decided to moor halfway between Buckley’s Hard and the Beaulieu near South Hampton, United Kingdom. Around the time of June, it’s popular place to go to especially for Mosquitoes. The surrounding area was reasonably quiet but much less so in the 1800’s during the industrial revolution, as evidenced by the ruin of a brick factory nearby our mooring spot. Interestingly enough the locals have 50 different pronunciations for Beaulieu.
