If you’re feeling brave enough to test the waters at the bottom of the Lee, The Lee Rowing club at the Marina provides that ample opportunity. I’m not only amazed by the rowers ability to avoid small tankers but also by their tenacity to row upriver, stopping just before the Distillery Fields on an early Saturday morning, regardless of harsh weather conditions and discarded shopping trolleys.
